I am going into my second year at this school, and so far, I'd honestly give it a solid 3 stars. For the most part, the staff are pretty nice. The security guards are extremely friendly, and the professors are good people. Though, the quality of professors at this school is a little so-so. I like my professors as people, but in terms of actually learning, some of them are just okay.
Another slight issue is that the school has a vast majority of some majors (especially computer science) and a huge lack of others. I am a physics major, and the program has maybe 15 students (if you include majors as well as minors). The professors in my program are all amazing people, and the students are also very friendly. But the problem is enrolling in courses is difficult due to the small sizing. The 15 people previously mentioned are all in different years, so we need different classes at different times. But if there aren't enough enrollments, the classes will be canceled.
However, having a small department isn't particularly bad. The school, in general, has classes of up to 40 people. 40 is not a very large number compared to the 100 some other universities face. But for me, 40 is still a lot — so having small classes is a huge bonus for me. The classes that the entire school doesn't need have less than 15 students, with some of my upperclassmen only having up to 10 students.
Even with education aside, the last issue with this school is the accessibility. While there are elevators in each building, they absolutely suck. The elevators work sometimes, and other times, you have to climb up a plethora of stairs (where in one building our school only has access from floor 6 which means you will be climbing a minimum of 6 floors). So if anyone reading this can not be prepared to randomly take the stairs, consider a different institution. Lastly, the total cost is always rising. The dorms are getting more expensive, and the cost of tuition is also getting more expensive.
That is it for my review as a 2nd year. Thanks for reading my yap session.

This is a general review and it doesn’t mean everyone here is not good. Some staff are very nice, same as the professors, but this school is not for good and smart students. This school is for the ones who wants to get a student visa to come to the US. If you are already here in the US don’t go here. Also if you care about your money and you want to learn something don’t go here. Specially for higher education such as masters, for me it was a waste of time and money!

Amazing school with amazing professors. If you're a decent student, you will succeed. I had three different internships at fortune 500 companies and was able to land a full-time job this year before I graduate. NYIT has set me up for life, couldn't recommend it more.

Is there a rating less than a star ? Unfortunately no . If you care at all about your future please hear me out . DO NOT waste your time and money in this school and I am using this word loosely. Couldn’t land an internship let alone a job and I graduated with honor from this school . The curriculum is a mess and Unfocused. If you need to make an educated decision talk to other students.

I studied MBA from this college. All the prof. are really good. Course curriculum is also well designed. I would really want if they add more practical based courses where u do some real finance related stuff instead of just a book assignment. Location of the college is amazing. Still miss the college days and great NYC.

Excellent program in communication arts. If you are definitely serious and passionate about what you and want to enter this program, this is definitely right for you. This program offers a lot of opportunities. This is for students who want to do real serious hard work in college. The professors are outstanding here and can really guide you well. The students are very nice and come from all different backgrounds. I feel very accepted here and fit right in with the other students in the communication arts department.

I am a freshman at this college, and I am having a great time. The people I meet are amazing and my teachers are even better. I love almost every single one of them. They are well educated about what they are teaching and are very passionate about their careers, which I love! Love learning new things everyday, and it's nice living in the city as well!
