Delivery was excellent and responses online were good. However, the quality of the dress is honestly awful. Took it out of the package and the sequins are falling off and parts of the dress is scuffed. I’ve not even worn it yet!! Please please don’t buy from these people - it’s not worth the hundreds of pounds.

I recently had an incredibly frustrating experience with Born in Stockholm that I feel compelled to share, hoping to warn others (especially customers, like me, who are based outside the EU) about the appalling service I received. This was my first concert experience, and I spent a lot of time researching to find a high-quality and unique concert outfit. It was also quite expensive, which made the outcome even more disappointing.

Order Delays and Miscommunication
I placed an order with Born in Stockholm about a month before my event, anticipating delivery within the 7-14 days as promised. However, my order arrived a shocking 5 weeks and 2 days later! This egregious delay meant that the item I ordered arrived after the event I'd bought it for and was rendered useless by the time it finally arrived. As someone who doesn't frequently attend concerts, raves or festivals, I have no occasion to wear this.

Lack of Transparency
Despite multiple attempts to cancel the order due to their failure to meet the delivery timeframe, I was met with resistance and excuses. Born in Stockholm claimed that my order was a "back order," which was allegedly indicated on their website and in the shopping terms. However, I found no such indication on my receipt or during the checkout process.

Inadequate Customer Service and Refusal to Cancel Order
Throughout this ordeal, I had to reach out to customer service repeatedly. Initially, I was offered the option to switch to a different color, but there was no concrete solution to ensure timely delivery. When it became clear that the outfit wouldn't arrive in time, I requested a refund. Unfortunately, their response was dismissive and unhelpful, insisting on store credit or an exchange instead of a refund, even though the fault was entirely theirs.

Even after explaining that the item would no longer serve its purpose, Born in Stockholm refused to cancel the order, stating that they do not cancel orders once processed. This rigid policy is highly inconvenient and unfair to customers, especially when the company fails to deliver on their promises.

Thankfully, my credit card credit the amount to my account so I am okay in the end, but I wanted to warn others to stay away from this company.

TL;DR
Avoid Born in Stockholm at all costs. They failed to meet their delivery promises, offered poor communication, and provided unhelpful customer service. Save yourself the hassle, stress, and disappointment – look elsewhere for your rave/concert/festival needs.

Ich kann leider auch keine Empfehlung aussprechen, die Sachen haben eine sehr schlechte Qualität. In den Jumpsuit habe ich nur mal versucht ein Bein reinzustecken, da flog schon der erste Glitzeraufkleber ab! Das Glitzer ist echt nur, wie mit der Heißklebepistole in der Mitte auf dem Stoff aufgeklebt und dadurch kann man den Stoff gar nicht dehnen! Rücksendung hatte ich vorher gelesen, dass man die selber zahlen muss, aber jetzt auch noch die Liefergebühr! Für die schlechte Qualität bei den Preisen echt unmöglich!

A joke. Waiting for a month without updates.
Terrible communication. Gems are peeling off and the product is dramatically different from the photos presented.
I got assured that blue parts are covered with sequins as well - an ugly fabric arrived instead. Absolutely horrible quality and a prime example of scammers, disguised as an exclusive small Swedish fashion brand. ?

Hatte erst Bedenken wegen der schlechten Bewertungen, bin aber so froh bei Born in Stockholm bestellt zu haben. 🙂 Klar ist es nicht ganz günstig, aber der Rhinestone Bodysuit ist genauso toll, schimmernd, glitzernd und wunderschön wie ich es mir vorgestellt habe. Das Licht reflektiert mega an den Nieten und Spiegelsteinen ab und der Fit ist genauso wie angegeben.
Die Bestellung war innerhalb von 10 Tagen bei mir in Deutschland, ich finde wirklich superschnell.
Ich habe auch innerhalb von 3 Tagen eine Antwort auf meine Mail bekommen und konnte so nachträglich noch die Größe verändert haben: also Kunden-Service 1A!
Bester Shop für alle Rave & Festival girls, ich werde sicher wieder irgendwann bestellen.
