A total con artist. I came to Hector in 2018 with a large 14k gold bracelet that I wanted to have refashioned a bit and mounted onto a silver base so it fit as tightly as it did. The bracelet was custom made and had beautiful Arabic calligraphy engraved in it. I came to Hector's office/workshop and was immediately impressed with the decor, the warmth, and the confidence of Hector himself. Hector convinced me to let him rework the bracelet using the very materials in the bracelet but to melt it down and give the script a "3D" look. This new lettering was to be mounted onto a sterling silver base and then rhodium plated to prevent the silver from tarnishing. Hector charged me several hundreds of dollars for this service. The finished result was very nice although I couldn't wear it as much as I wanted to. For some reason, the rhodium inside the bracelet would wear prematurely fast and I would always smell a nickel smell. Fast forward to last week when I decided to have another white gold bracelet fashioned with a different jewelry shop. I wanted to use some of the gold from the bracelet Hector created so I sent them the bracelet only to be shown that the lettering had been swapped for 6k gold. The base of the bracelet wasn't even sterling silver. It was cheap nickel. And that's why i kept smelling nickel every time I would wear the bracelet. The bracelet was returned to me as nearly worthless. Not only did Hector steal the gold from my original bracelet, he even charged me to make a worthless replacement. Now of course, he's going to say he doesn't even know who I am but I have emails from Hector as well as a receipt. For anyone thinking about doing business with this guy, send me a message and I'll forward you the proof. Hector, if you're reading this, I'm not exactly sure how or why you thought you would get away with this but I'll see you very soon in court. The evidence is sadly pretty clear cut (I have a video of the bracelet being tested, receipts, emails, etc) and I will get my money back plus damages. For everyone else, I advise you to stay far far away.
